Let the music world sit up and take notice. A new Avtaar to drum up the sounds from around the Globe is our very own Mumbaikar "Mukul Dongre".

As a Percussionist and a Modern Drummer, he is a class of his own, having played with the best and the greatest.

To his long list of achievements, Mukul is credited to have had the honour to have performed with the likes of top Indian artists and well known artists abroad.

Mukul Dongre, son of the well known Indian classical violinist Mr. Madhav Dongre, is one of the rare musicians who have brought the flavour of Indian music through western ways, keeping western grooves rocking.

Instinctively following the melodic style of drumming of the great players from abroad, Mukul is enthralling audiences all over the world with his unique solos.

Mukul completed his basic drumming under Lester Gaudinho and learnt the intracacies of tabla from maestro Pt. Suresh Talwalkar.
Trilok Gurtu, a legend in the world of percussion and world music, identified Mukuls talent and helped him enhance his abilities.

Today Mukul is a name to reckon with in percussion having lent his talent to fusion, rock, pop and sufi concerts and various film recordings.

Mukul regularly performs with top Indian artists like Hariharan, Rekha Bhardwaj, Pt. Suresh Talwalkar, eminent classical vocalist Arti Ankaliker, Abhijit & Pt. Ajay Pohankar, Niladri Kumar, Vijay Ghate, Rupak Kulkarni and many more.

He has played with Dr. L. Subramanium, Kavita K., Roopkumar & Sonali Rathodh, eminent fusion composer & fine tabla player Bikram Ghosh.

Performed with classy Kathak dancers from Pune, Shama Bhate and troupe. Played with top Karnatak and Indian Classical violinist Kala Ramnath, sitarist Purbayan Chatterji, tabla player Anuradha Pal.

Performed with Great players like Bhavani Shankar (pakhavaj), V. Suresh (ghatam), S. Shekhar (mridangam).
